U.S. Fires Five Precision Strikes on Kata’ib Hizbollah
In a press release from the pentagon, the United States has conducted five retaliatory strikes against Kata’ib Hizbollah (KH). KH, also known as Hezbollah Brigades is a military group supported by Iran.
The group fought in the Iraqi and Syrian Civil Wars against U.S. soldiers. Strikes were conducted on weapon storage facilities and command and control centers. They were necessary to inhibit the group from conducting more strikes in the future against Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) coalition forces. In recent strikes by KH, it resulted in the death of a U.S. citizen and injury of four service members; Also killing and injuring other countries service members in the coalition.
The coalition is in Iraq to ensure that the terrorist group ISIS continues to dwindle into nothing. It is important to note that the coalition forces fully respects an independent Iraqi government and country, but the U.S. will not submit it’s right of self-defense against the KH militant.
